Arrival in Arusha
Location: Arusha Accommodation: Budget Hotel in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be met by our driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Here, you will meet your safari guide for a pre-safari briefing to discuss your upcoming adventure and check that you have everything you need. Enjoy dinner and a good night's rest.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park, known as the "Land of Giants" due to its massive baobab trees and large elephant population. The park is also home to wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and over 550 species of birds. We enjoy a full day of game driving with a picnic lunch. In the late afternoon, we head to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park known for its stunning alkaline lake and dense groundwater forests. We will spend the morning searching for the famous tree-climbing lions that rest in the acacia branches, as well as large troops of baboons. After a picnic lunch, we can visit a local Maasai village (optional) to learn about their culture. We set up camp near the park in the late afternoon.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Today is a travel highlight as we drive to the legendary Serengeti National Park. We drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Serengeti plains. "Serengeti" means "endless plains," and you will immediately understand why as the horizon stretches endlessly before you. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you head to the campsite. Depending on the season (Dec-July or June-Oct), you may witness the Great Migration arriving or departing.

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

We have a full day to explore the vast Serengeti. You have the option of an early morning game drive (with sunrise) to see predators returning from the hunt, or a full-day drive with a packed lunch deep in the bush. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five and offers unrivaled game viewing. Your guide will use his knowledge to find the hidden gems of the park, from leopards in the sausage trees to cheetahs hunting on the open plains.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Location: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, we depart for the Ngorongoro Crater. We descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a half-day crater tour. The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World." It has a dense concentration of wildlife, including the endangered Black Rhino. We enjoy lunch at the hippo pool. Afterward, we ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon to drop you off at your hotel or the airport.
