Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kigali. We drive southwest towards the border, passing through stunning terraced hills and rural villages. As we approach Bwindi, the air gets cooler and the landscape turns into dense, primeval forest. Arrive in the late afternoon to check into your lodge, where you can relax and listen to the sounds of the jungle as the sun sets.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Location: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Accommodation: Budget Lodge / Community Campsite
After an early breakfast, we head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. You will be assigned a gorilla family based on your hiking ability. Accompanied by armed rangers, you enter the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The hike is a thrilling adventure through steep valleys and thick vegetation. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend exactly one hour observing them. Watch the playful juveniles, the nurturing mothers, and the massive Silverback. It is a humbling experience that often leaves travelers emotionally moved. Afterward, you return to the lodge to celebrate this incredible achievement.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before driving north to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes us through the scenic Ishasha sector, famous for its population of Tree-Climbing Lions. We will enjoy a game drive through the woodland, looking up into the large fig trees to spot these lazy cats resting on the branches. Afterward, we continue to the main area of the park near the Kazinga Channel. In the evening, you may take a short game drive near the lodge.

Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start the day with a sunrise game drive across the Kasenyi plains. This is the best time to see predators like lions and hyenas hunting, as well as herds of Uganda Kob, Buffaloes, and Elephants. After lunch, we embark on a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise is a highlight for wildlife photographers, offering close encounters with hundreds of Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, and flocks of Pelicans and Kingfishers.

Crater Lakes Drive & Return to Entebbe
Location: Queen Elizabeth to Entebbe/Kigali
After breakfast, we check out and begin the journey back. We will take the scenic route through the Crater Lakes region, stopping to admire the spectacular views of these ancient volcanic formations and looking out for vervet monkeys. We stop for lunch en route in Mbarara town. Depending on your departure point, you will be dropped off at Entebbe Airport or Kigali Airport in the late afternoon to catch your flight.
